Squigglin Play today’s blob

Squigglin is a daily drawing game about making a blob...make...sense

Every day, everyone playing Squigglin gets the same dang shape — a “blob” — and about five minutes of nerve. Your job is to draw on top of it until it becomes something. A face, a machine, a rude gesture, a plausible animal. Then you get to see what everyone else decided the exact same shape was.

It is free, it runs in your browser, there is nothing to download, and there are no ads, no trackers, no marketing, no popups, no notifications. One drawing a day, five votes a day, then it resets and a brand new blob shows up.

Draw today’s blob

How to play

  1. Meet the day’s blob. Open the site and you get the same starting shape as everybody else. These are the best blobs I've got, folks. Hand drawn at Squigglin HQ.
  2. Make it make sense. Draw over and around the blob. The shape is fixed; what it turns into is entirely up to you. Undo and clear are there when a good idea turns out to be a bad one.
  3. Submit your squiggle. One entry per person per day. Change your mind before the day is out and you can redraw it.
  4. Spend your five votes. You get five stars a day to hand out to other people’s drawings. Spread them around or dump all five on the one that made you laugh. You cannot vote for yourself, and you can take a star back if you change your mind.
  5. Watch the leaderboard move. Rankings shift all day as votes come in. Whoever finishes on top earns a “top squiggle” badge on their profile — and if there’s a tie, everyone tied gets one. It's probably a good idea to make your blob with breakfast.

Why a blob?

A blank canvas is intimidating and it takes real time to fill. A weird shape you didn’t choose is a much better prompt: it gives everyone the same constraint, it makes the game fast, and it means the interesting part isn’t whether you can draw — it’s what you noticed in the shape that nobody else did. Two people will look at an identical blob and produce a dolphin and a broken lawnmower. That gap is the whole game.

Your profile

Every squiggle you submit is kept in your profile, alongside the lifetime total of votes you’ve received and any top squiggle badges you’ve won. You can add a short bio so other Squigglers know who they’re up against.
